The Science Behind StemWave®
PACE® delivers controlled waves of mechanical energy to targeted areas of the body. These waves interact with the body’s tissues through a process known as mechanotransduction, which may help stimulate a natural cellular response. This process is designed to support temporary relief of minor muscle aches and pains while promoting a temporary increase in local blood circulation. By delivering energy directly to the targeted area, PACE® provides a non-invasive approach that can be incorporated into a personalized treatment plan based on your individual symptoms, needs, and goals.

Does StemWave® replace physical therapy?
No. StemWave® is designed to complement physical therapy, not replace it. Your physical therapy program can focus on improving strength, mobility, movement, and function while StemWave® may be used as an additional treatment option.
What happens during a StemWave® treatment?
Your provider will identify the area being treated and apply the StemWave® device to the targeted area. Treatment is non-invasive and does not require surgery or injections.
Is StemWave® covered by insurance?
StemWave® treatments are not covered by insurance. StayFIT offers a $49 consultation to help determine whether this treatment may be a good option for you.
How many treatments will I need?
Treatment needs can vary from person to person. After your consultation, we can recommend a treatment plan based on your individual symptoms and goals.
Is StemWave® painful?
Everyone responds differently. You may feel the acoustic waves during treatment, but your provider can adjust the treatment based on your comfort level.
How long is a StemWave® appointment?
At StayFIT, your initial consultation is approximately 30 minutes. During your consultation, we’ll discuss your symptoms, goals, and whether StemWave® may be appropriate for you. The treatment itself takes 5-8 minutes.
